Get Involved
This is your chance to really make a difference. When you volunteer with Be The Match, you are helping sickle cell patients get their cure—a blood stem cell transplant from a matching donor.

Education and Research Reviewer
We’re looking for sickle cell warriors and their caregivers to join our Education and Research Reviewer volunteer group. By adding more volunteers with sickle cell disease, we can get better input from people that represent our audiences.
In this role, volunteers will:
-
Provide feedback on patient education materials
-
Prioritize sickle cell research to summarize in plain language
-
Share their experiences to help develop better patient education and support programs
You must agree to participate in at least 2 review activities each year. Each review activity will take about 1 to 3 hours.

Peer Connect
Our Peer Connect Program is comprised of volunteers who are transplant recipients or caregivers. Volunteers provide meaningful support by listening to sickle cell warriors or caregivers curious about transplant and answering their questions while also sharing their own transplant journey. We would love for you to volunteer and be part of our growing program.

Patient Advocacy
Advocacy is critically important to protect access and expand coverage for patients needing a life-saving bone marrow transplant. The Government Affairs Team is dedicated to advancing our mission through legislative and policy action. We advocate to maintain and improve patient access to care. We cannot do this alone. We need your help and by joining our mission as an advocate, together, we can save lives.
